Ukrainian attack drones struck Yandex’s Sasovo Datacenter tonight, one of Russia’s largest, setting it on fire.

The 35+ MW facility reportedly housed nearly 2,700 Nvidia A100 GPUs by 2021, imported before sanctions locked down Russia’s tech sector. https://t.co/sCNx0eqvTD

BREAKING:

Ukraine has struck a Russian data center for the first time.

The Yandex data centre in Sasovo in the Ryazan region was hit a few hours ago and burned down to the ground.

Russia launched its first attacks on Ukrainian data centers a few weeks ago. Zelensky commented on it 4 days while answerings questions from reporters next to Chancellor Merz in Kyiv, saying “do they really think we won’t respond with strikes against their data centers too?”
